REVIEW: The Immortal Game by Joannah Miley & Giveaway

BLURB
RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
When struggling pre-med student Ruby West beats the unconquerable Ash at chess he becomes fixated on her. Which is great if you like smoldering blue eyes, sculpted features, and afternoons of unexpected adventure. But not so great when she discovers he is a Greek god and his father, Zeus, has forbidden the gods from interacting with humans.

Ruby soon realizes her love for Ash threatens the fragile stability that has kept the gods from meddling in the mortal world.

Before long the two find themselves on a quest to rescue a goddess, save the Earth from unending winter, and secure the right to be together forever.

REVIEW
The Immortal Game is a story of modern mythology at its most creative and finest. Joannah Miley takes us on an adventure with Ruby, an independent and lonely girl who seeks to make her father—although deceased—proud. When Ruby walks into a coffeehouse, to forget the war that's raging around her and to study, she's asked to play a game of chess by the mysterious Ash; she declines. But Ash is so adamant (and let's not leave out gorgeous) that she takes him up on the challenge. After a tactical game, Ruby wins and leaves Ash awestruck. Ash becomes obsessed with Ruby's game and wants to understand how she could have possibly beat him in the area that his existence revolves around: No, not chess, but strategy and war. Oh yes, my friends, Ash is no ordinary human; he's Ares, the god of war.

Ruby soon discovers that Ash aka Ares is adventurous, a gentleman, and oh-so-swoon-wothy! It isn't long before the two realize that the electricity they've been feeling between them is sparking up a lot of romantic tension. For Ruby it's like a breath of fresh exhilarating air. Ash/Ares is just as lovestruck. But there's just one problem: Zeus, the god of gods, won't approve their relationship.

So what's a guy and girl to do when Zeus makes them a proposition? Easy. Embark on an adventure that'll secure their love.

If you're looking for a new kind of twist on Greek Mythology, you'll find it in Joannah Miley's book, The Immortal Game.
